Marie Bernadette Nickle

Biography of Marie B. Nickle, LL.B LL.M Ms. Nickle is a certified trainer through the Ontario Collaborative Law Federation and trains lawyers and other professionals in the collaborative law model of dispute resolution. Ms. Nickle was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994. She completed a Masters Degree in Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in the area of Alternate Dispute Resolution and Negotiation in 2007. From 1999 to 2005, she was a panel lawyer for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer, representing children, whose parents were involved in court litigation Ms. Nickle practices in the area of family law exclusively. In her practice, she primarily assists her clients to resolve disputes in alternate ways to a court process, including collaborative law, interest based negotiations and mediation. These alternate methods of resolving disputes are less stressful for the parties, often less costly, and more expedient than a court process. Ms. Nickle also serves as a Dispute Resolution Officer at the Superior Court of Justice in Brampton, Ontario in facilitating settlements between litigating parties. She is a regular presenter at the Mandatory Information Sessions offered at the court in Brampton, Ontario.
