Victoria L. Smith
I am a settlement specialist, offering services as a collaborative lawyer, mediator and arbitrator in Toronto, Canada. After litigating in all levels of court for 17 years, I confined my practice to helping clients achieve customized, effective settlements out of court since 2001. I train lawyers and other professionals in the collaborative process, communication and negotiation skills, and collaborative advocay throughout North America. I am a regular presenter at IACP conferences. I am Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where I teach Collaborative Lawyering. I am coauthor of Collaborative Family Law, Another Way To Resolve Family Disputes, published by Thompson Carswell in 2003. I am certified as a Comprehensive Family Mediator with Family Mediation Canada and I am a Chartered Mediator with the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario. I am a member of the Board of Directors for the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
