Jacinta C. Gallant
Jacinta Gallant is a collaborative lawyer, mediator and trainer living in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She teaches interest-based conflict resolution at the Centre for Conflict Resolution Studies, University of Prince Edward Island. Jacinta is a member of the Board of Directors of IACP and is co-chair of the Public Education Advisory Committee of IACP. She is also a co-chair of the Joint Canadian Bar Association Family Law/ADR sub-committee on Collaborative Practice.
Jacinta has Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Prince Edward Island and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Victoria. She has taken over 350 hours of training in conflict resolution, mediation, collaborative law and interdisciplinary collaborative practice. She has been teaching interest-based conflict resolution skills/processes in the areas of collaborative practice, collaborative law, mediation and negotiation since 2004.

Jacinta's Introduction to Collaborative Practice is an interactive training which includes process, steps and an introduction to communication and negotiation skills using role plays, demonstrations and discussion.
The 3 day Interest-based Negotiation Sklls for Collaborative Professionals takes participants through all the steps of a collaborative process using role plays, presentation, discussion and demonstration.
The 2-day course on Advanced Issues in Collaborative includes dealing with high emotion and impasse, enhancing communication skills, working with other collaborative professionals and debriefing difficult cases.
