MADELINE MINDEK, LCSW, BCD, is principal owner of Collaborative Opportunities, an alternative dispute resolution practice located in San Mateo, California. As a clinician, she has extensive experience as a couples, child and family therapist and co-parenting mediator. Madeline has been an associate at Bauer, Shepherd, Ross and Associates for many years, where her practice is dedicated to Collaborative work. In the Collaborative Practice model, she serves as a collaborative coach and child specialist in divorce matters, and as a family communications facilitator in elder care and estates and probate matters. Madeline's expertise includes teaching and promoting effective communication and cooperative co-parenting skills and she is also available as a mediator for the development of co-parenting plans.
Madeline is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP),Collaborative Practice of Silicon Valley, Collaborative Practice of San Francisco and Collaborative Practice of San Mateo. She is a past chair of the San Mateo executive committee, and is a member of the Professional Excellence/Mentoring committee and of the CPCal program committee. Madeline has advanced training in the inter-disciplinary team model of Collaborative Divorce and is a trainer in the full team model of Collaborative Practice. She has presented to attorney, mental health, and civic organizations. on the roles of the Collaborative Coach and Child Specialist in Collaborative Practice.
