Debra Walsh, MEd
(Mental Health Professional)
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice. I have been working therapeutically with children and families since 1990. I hold positions in the public school system and at the University level as well.
My realm of practice includes separation and divorce, grief and loss issues, and parent/sibling/peer conflict. Therapuetic methods encompass cognitive-behavioural therapy and play and art modalities with a person-centred focus. I also bring extensive training and experience in the area of special needs to my practice.
Helping families navigate the difficult issues of separation and divorce has been a powerful and highly rewarding experience for me. I have found that the collaborative approach enhances the healing and growth potential for children.
