| General Comments |
| Our firm has had many years of experience representing both men and women in all aspects of family law. Additionally, the Partners have been called upon by the Court and fellow practitioners to conduct private conciliations for those needing assistance in settling cases, or in bridging impasses in order to avoid contested trials or hearings. As a result of our extensive experience in the non-collaborative arena, we are keenly aware of the difficulties with the court process—high costs associated with contested litigation, its rapid pace which does not permit individuals to move comfortably through the difficult process of divorce or other family law matters, and the potentially long lasting, harmful emotional effects on litigants and their children. We fully understand the benefits of litigants working toward a common goal and believe that a growing awareness of the collaborative process will likely increase the demand for these services as litigants seek alternatives to the usual process. |
