Karen J. Levitt is a collaborative law attorney, mediator, and trainer with over 25 years of experience in family law. She is a founding member and a past president of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, and is very active in her collaborative community including designing educational programs and trainings in collaborative practice and mediation for professionals and the public. Karen is the principal of the Levitt Law Group, a small office dedicated to providing personal and quality legal services to clients. Karen and her colleagues at The Levitt Law Group recognize that each client is unique, and that every case is different. Karen and her office provide clients with choices and options to help them decide for themselves what process will best achieve their deisred result, and how to reach that result in a respectful and dignified manner. She and her staff work with clients to find non-adversarial and creative solutions to their legal problems, that best fit them, their families, and their resources.
Attorney Levitt has a law degree from Boston University School of Law, and is licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has been active in state and local bar associations, professional and civic organizations, and has been a speaker and trainer on collaborative practice, mediation, litigation, and family law issues both to the public and to members of the legal and other profession both within and outside of Massachusetts. She has also taught legal research and writing at Boston University School of Law, and has had several publications in the areas of collaborative practice and mediation.
