| My commitment to Collaborative Practice has marked a turning point in my legal career. Like many dedicated family lawyers, I was slowly coming to a point where I could no longer tolerate the damage I was leaving in my wake as an adversarial family practitioner. Collaborative Practice has enabled me to rededicate myself to helping people solve legal problems while preserving relationships. Working in a team setting with our collaborative colleagues skilled in helping couples work out the financial and parenting issues that occur on the breakdown of family relationships, I once again feel I am part of a helping profession. |
