Peter Axelrod, JD (Lawyer)

Peter has specialized exclusively in the practice of divorce and family law since 1980. He was one of the founding members of the Collaborative Law Group of Southern Arizona and has an MEd. in Counseling & Guidance. Peter's practice also includes divorce mediation, and many of Arizona's mediators completed the 40 hour divorce medation training program he offered with Phoenix social worker Joan Tobin.

    Peter Axelrod has practiced exclusively in the field of divorce and family law since 1980 and has extensive experience in all facets of representing clients in domestic relations cases. Peter has a Masters Degree in Counseling & Guidance.

    After taking hundreds of domestic cases to court over the years, Peter has seen firsthand the difficulties and additional burdens the adversary system can present to clients. In responding to the need for a more collaborative and client-friendly negotiating process, Peter helped organize and was a founding member of the Collaborative Law Group of Southern Arizona (CLGSA).
