Since 1973, I have helped clients solve problems and achieve results. Litigation seems appealing and always disappoints. The vast majority of clients are uninformed about the realities of litigation, especially the loss-of-control in court actions. Collaborative approaches place control in the hands of the parties. With Collaborative Practice, clients give up nothing and gain much: opportunities to explore more options; private proceedings; reasonable time/cost parameters with less waste; control over their own destinies; and the chance to save relationships.

| General Comments |
| I first became involved in Collaborative Law in 1999. My interest has grown steadily, and I have taught and presented at almost 50 programs on this emerging dispute resolution process. My focus is Civil Practice (not divorce). I believe that Civil Collaborative Practice will be the resolution-process-of-choice in the near future. |
