Sandra S Barto, JD
(Lawyer/Mediator)
|
My strength is in helping parties transition out of a committed legal relationship in an environment of respect and integrity. Aside from my law degree I have a M.A. in counseling. My practice focuses primarily on collaborative law, mediation, and consultation. I came to the practice of collaborative law after several years working in the non-profit world as a mediator, trainer, and group facilitator. In addition to my legal practice I continue to train and mentor new mediators and collaborative professionals. I hold leadership positions in the local collaborative law organizations.

| General Comments |
| I am not interested in going to war or aggravating an already difficult situation. Collaborative Law allows divorcing couples to address their legal, emotional, and financial interests in an atmosphere of support and respect. Couples can work towards win/win solutions instead of win/lose outcomes for themselves and their children. Lawyers can focus on the interests and goals of the clients without the distraction of tactical gamesmanship. |
